The joint Chinese-German project TICAS aims at feeding results and knowledge generated from precious research project – ECOLOC, into measures that activate stakeholders to contribute to a sustainable management of Hainan coastal ecosystems. Several stakeholder sectors have been identified for being relevant targets for knowledge exchange, including government bodies, science, NGOs, aquaculture farmers and other ecosystem users.
Here outlines several measures we have been doing to exchange knowledge with stakeholders in China. it focuses on the persisting environmental and social problems that have been identified and how ECOLOC might effectively contribute to solutions.
