14.05.2017: Gnuplot introductionary course at Hainan University

On May 14th, PhD candidate Marco Drews gave an introduction in the free command-line driven program gnuplot at the Hainan University at 2:30 pm. Gnuplot can be used to generate graphs from data for publication. This course consisted of three parts:

PART I
-Making a desired output file (pdf, png, jpg, eps…) with customized resolution
-Prepare a layout: axis labeling, titles, legends
-Plotting and changing point type and point color

PART II
-Data fitting and output fit parameters
-Maps and color-coded data
-time dependent data
-Multiplots in a single data file

PART III
-3 D plots (XYZ Data) (see above)
-color maps
-Labels and arrows
